The pump pressurizes paint material up to 250 bar, forcing it through the spray gun when the valve opens. The paint passes through an appropriately sized airless tip, where atomization occurs due to the pressure difference between the material and atmosphere. Tip selection determines both flow rate and spray pattern width.
